    WINE WORKS is a wine restaurant brand of Hyundai Department Store that offers new food and beverage lifestyle and a wide range of wine experiences. It features a unique wine experience with professional chefs with considerable insight into wine, creating dishes that can be enjoyed with wine by moving away from existing wine shops selling wine in existing department stores. To customers who want wine, we offer various wine content, such as a wine-oriented, classy food and beverage experience and a bar for tasting.

    와인 웍스는 압구정 현대백화점 B1F에 위치한 새로운 다이닝 라이프스타일과 폭넓은 와인경험을 제공하는 와인바 & 레스토랑입니다. 기존의 백화점 운영했던 와인판매를 위한 와인샵에서 탈피하여 와인에 식견이 있는 전문 셰프들이 와인과 함께 즐길 수 있는 음식을 개발하여 새로운 와인 경험을 제공한다는 특징이 있습니다. 와인을 즐기는 고객에게 와인중심의 품격있는 다이닝 경험과 시음 가능한 바, 커뮤털 테이블 공동좌석 등 와인을 중심으로 다양한 컨텐츠를 제안합니다.

  • THE OBJECTIVE

    목적

    The WINE WORKS Project aims to build a new dining experience in a modern space with a refined and minimalistic brand identity by forming a new community beyond simple wine sales. By reflecting the organically curved structure of the restaurant's interior, we intended to develop a scalable pattern graphic that expresses WINE WORKS' unique sense of rhythm and is flexibly applied to various applications. By this, we planned to provide an expanded brand experience unique to Wine Works that crosses the shopping and dining experience.

    와인 웍스 프로젝트는 단순 와인판매를 넘어 와인과 함께 새로운 커뮤니티가 형성되어 트렌디한 공간 안에서의 새로운 다이닝 경험을 세련되고 미니멀한 브랜드 아이덴티티로 구축하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 레스토랑 내부 인테리어의 유기적인 곡선 구조를 반영하여 와인 웍스만의 리듬감을 표현하고 다양한 어플리케이션에 플렉서블하게 적용되는 확장성 있는 패턴 그래픽을 개발하고자 했습니다. 이를 통해 쇼핑과 다이닝을 넘나드는 와인웍스만의 확장된 브랜드 경험을 제공하고자 했습니다.

  • THE SOLUTION

    해결방안

    WINE WORKS' logotype and graphic motif were developed based on the inspiration from the organic shape of the interior fixtures inside the restaurant. The wordmark of a minimalistic sans serif typeface gives a soft feeling to the edges of the typeface, creating a relaxed and sophisticated feeling that gets along well with the lifestyle dining concept. Using the letter W of WINE WORKS, we created a signature symbol that expresses the unique space of WINE WORKS and the character of the wine. We developed a scalable application design system for WINE WORKS by applying the motif of organic curves derived from spatial forms, such as wine menus, wine boxes, shopping bags, table mats, takeout cups, carriers, and bill pads.

    와인 웍스의 로고타입과 그래픽 모티브는 레스토랑 내부의 inteiror fixture의 유기적인 형태에서 영감을 얻어 개발되었습니다. 미니멀한 산세리프 서체의 워드마크는 서체의 끝부분에 부드러운 느낌을 주어 라이프스타일 다이닝 컨셉에 어우러지는 여유롭고 세련된 감성을 담아냈습니다. WINE WORKS의 레터 W를 활용하여 와인 웍스만의 유니크한 공간과 와인의 결을 표현한 시그니처 심볼을 만들었습니다. 와인 메뉴판, 와인박스, 쇼핑백, 테이블매트, 테이크아웃컵, 캐리어, 빌패드 등 공간형태에서 모티브를 얻은 유기적 곡선의 모티브를 공통적으로 적용하여 확장성 있는 와인웍스의 응용디자인 시스템을 개발하였습니다.
