Urban Launderette is a brand that pursues a sustainable and premium lifestyle using advanced washing equipment from German brand name products and a variety of laundry services combined with eco-friendly materials harmless to the human body and new technologies. Currently, it is operating laundromats in Cheongdam-dong and Seocho-dong and opened 'Urban Launderette The Terrace,' a complex cultural facility consisting of a café and a laundry lab in Yongin, conveying the brand's philosophy on sustainability by providing customers with a variety of distinguished, high-quality contents and spaces of Urban Launderette.
어반런드렛은 독일제 명품 브랜드의 첨단 세탁기기를 사용하며 / 다양한 세탁 서비스와 인체에 무해한 친환경 소재, 신기술 등 다양한 서비스로 / 지속가능한 프리미엄 라이프스타일을 추구하는 브랜드입니다. 현재 청담과 서초에서 셀프 런드리룸을 운영하며, 용인시에 카페와 런드리랩으로 구성된 복합문화시설 ‘Urban Launderett The Terrace’를 오픈하여 고객들에게 어반런드렛만의 차별화된 다양한 양질의 콘텐츠와 공간으로 지속가능성에 대해 브랜드의 철학을 전달합니다.
THE OBJECTIVE
목적
We aimed to provide a differentiated brand experience to build a premium lifestyle based on laundry culture. The design of minimal tone and manner representing the brand identity, 'KEEP CLEAN & GREEN,' expressed the brand value: to consider pure naturalism and customer convenience and to keep the promise as an eco-friendly brand through products and packages made of sustainable, eco-friendly materials.
세탁 문화 기반의 프리미엄 라이프스타일을 구축하기 위해 차별화된 브랜드 경험을 제공하는 것을 목표하였습니다. ‘KEEP CLEAN & GREEN’이라는 브랜드 아이덴티티를 담은 미니멀한 톤앤매너의 디자인으로 깨끗한 자연주의와 고객의 편의성을 생각하는 브랜드의 가치를 나타냈습니다. 또한 지속 가능한 친환경 소재로 된 제품과 패키지로 친환경 브랜드로서의 약속을 지켜나갑니다.
THE SOLUTION
해결방안
We embodied a clean mood by reflecting the core value of the brand, to provide cleanliness by concentrating on the nature of washing through the witty iconography and white color with the design concept, ‘LAUNDERETTE WITH CARE.’ Also, we conveyed a unique and modern tone and manner with a combination of various types of sans serif typefaces for multiple services, such as the technology carefully devised for the environment and people, and visualized sustainable, eco-friendly services and care systems unique to Urban Launderette with the 'CARE LABEL' to propose a premium brand design. We applied consistent design in modern feel to the spaces representing sustainability, such as the exterior signage, interior signage, window graphic, and interior fabric poster of the 'Urban Lundret Terrace' space in Yongin. Also, eco-friendly materials, such as biodegradable vinyl products, biodegradable plastic products, Tyvek, and highly recyclable materials are applied to laundry-related goods such as detergents, fabric softeners, laundry bags, and laundry guides in the Laundry Lab on 2F and tea packages, shopping bags, fabric posters, and menu papers in the café on 1F to capture the brand's philosophy, which is to care for the environment and people. The overall application design of Urban Launderette was carefully developed in consideration of the naturalist brand value.
‘LAUNDERETTE WITH WITH CARE’라는 디자인 컨셉으로 세탁 본질에 집중하여 깨끗함을 제공하는 브랜드의 핵심가치를 위트 있는 ICONOGRAPHY와 화이트 컬러를 사용하여 Clean한 무드를 구현합니다. 또한, 환경과 사람을 위해 세심하게 고려된 기술 등 다양한 서비스를 여러 타입의 산세리프 서체 조합으로 유니크하고 모던한 톤앤매너를 전달하며 지속 가능한 어반런드렛만의 친환경 서비스와 케어 시스템을 CARE LABEL로 시각화하여 프리미엄한 브랜드 디자인을 제안합니다. 용인 ‘어반런드렛 테라스’ 공간의 외관 사이니지와 내부 사이니지, 윈도우 그래픽, 내부 패브릭 포스터 등 지속 가능성을 이야기하는 공간에 모던한 무드의 디자인을 일관되게 구현하였으며 환경과 사람을 생각하는 브랜드의 철학을 담기 위해 생분해 비닐, 생분해 플라스틱, 타이벡, 재활용이 높은 소재 등 친환경 소재를 사용하여 2F 런드리랩의 세제와 섬유유연제, 세탁 가방, 세탁 가이드 등 세탁 관련 굿즈와 1F 카페의 티 패키지, 쇼핑백, 패브릭 포스터, 메뉴지 등에 적용했습니다. 전반적인 어반런드렛의 응용 디자인은 자연주의의 브랜드 가치를 고려하여 세심하게 개발되었습니다.
