Sansu, one of Korea's oldest bottled water companies, has aimed to promote a sustainable culture that harmonizes with nature since its establishment in 1984 by offering high-quality products filled with pure water from nature. The company's eco-friendly plastic bottles, made from 100% bio-based materials like sugarcane, are fully biodegradable, helping to reduce environmental pollution and preserve the precious natural environment. Sansu's premium water brand, "I'm eco Thankful Spring," has been selected as an eco-friendly water amenity in renowned hotels such as Glad Hotel, Marriott, and Ananti, providing better choices for nature in daily life and leading a sustainable lifestyle.
한국에서 가장 오랜 역사를 지닌 생수 기업 중 하나인 Sansu는 1984년 설립 이후 자연 그대로의 순수한 물을 담은 고품질 제품을 통해 자연과 상생하는 지속가능한 문화를 지향하고 있습니다. 특히 사탕수수와 같은 100% 바이오 소재를 기반으로 개발된 친환경 플라스틱 병은 자연에서 완전 분해되는 성분으로 환경 오염을 줄이고 소중한 자연을 보존하는 일에 기여하고 있습니다. 산수의 프리미엄 생수 브랜드인 아임에코 고마운 샘은 글래드호텔, 메리어트, 아난티와 같은 유명 호텔에서 환경 보호를 위한 생수 어메니티로 선정되는 등, 일상에서 자연을 위한 더 나은 선택을 제공하여 지속가능한 라이프스타일을 선도하고 있습니다.
THE OBJECTIVE
목적
YNL Design defined the core values of the "I'm eco" brand as high-quality water containing the purity of nature, proprietary technology using biodegradable plastic materials, and a lifestyle for a sustainable environment. The project aimed to develop a package design system that conveys the brand's philosophy and authenticity. The goal was to establish an expandable graphic system that reflects the sustainable lifestyle that "I'm eco Thankful Spring," a premium product, strives for, and to develop an iconic design that incorporates the characteristics of biodegradable water products.
YNL Design은 아임에코 브랜드의 핵심 가치를 자연의 순수함을 담은 고품질의 물, 생분해 플라스틱 소재를 사용한 독자적인 기술력, 지속가능한 환경을 위한 라이프스타일로 정의하고, 브랜드의 철학과 진정성을 전하는 패키지 디자인 시스템을 개발하는 것을 프로젝트의 목표로 삼았습니다. 아임에코의 프리미엄 제품인 고마운 샘이 지향하는 지속가능한 라이프스타일을 반영하여 확장성 있는 그래픽 체계를 구축하고, 생분해가 가능한 생수 제품의 특징을 반영한 아이코닉한 디자인을 개발하고자 했습니다.
THE SOLUTION
해결방안
Based on the concept of "SPREADING AN IMPACT," YNL Design developed a packaging system that reflects the nature-friendly philosophy, expanding from a single bottle of water to a sustainable lifestyle. The iconic droplet graphic at the center of the package expresses the shimmering light reflected in the water waves, emphasizing the biodegradable plastic material and conveying the eco-friendly message with the brand name "I'm eco" in the center of the droplet. Additionally, four icons were developed to effectively highlight the product's features, such as biodegradable plastic and natural ingredients. The iconic droplet graphic and key information icons on the label use a bright blue color to express a refreshing feeling, while the remaining areas are transparent to convey the purity and reliability of the high-quality water.
YNL Design은 'SPREADING AN IMPACT’라는 컨셉을 바탕으로 하나의 생수에서 시작하여 지속가능한 라이프스타일로 확장되는 자연친화적인 철학을 반영한 패키지 시스템을 개발했습니다. 패키지의 중심이 되는 아이코닉한 물방울 그래픽은 물결에 비친 반짝이는 빛을 표현하여 자연에서 분해되는 친환경 플라스틱 소재를 강조하며, 물방울의 중앙에 브랜드명 I’m eco를 강조하여 자연친화적인 메시지를 함께 전달합니다. 또한 생분해 플라스틱과 자연 유래 성분 등 제품이 지닌 특장점을 효과적으로 강조하기 위해 4개의 아이콘을 개발했습니다. 라벨에서 아이코닉한 물방울 그래픽과 핵심 정보를 전하는 아이콘에는 선명한 빛의 블루 컬러를 사용하여 상쾌한 감성을 표현하며, 그 이외의 영역은 모두 투명하게 사용하여 고품질 생수의 신뢰도를 깨끗한 인상으로 전달합니다.
