    Shinhan Card is currently the leading card issuer in South Korea, boasting the largest customer base and highest market share. Holding the top position in the card industry, it offers a variety of card products tailored to customers' lifestyles. With the increase in demand for overseas travel following the transition of the COVID-19 pandemic, travel-related spending has surged. Various card companies are swiftly releasing overseas travel-related products and conducting various promotions. In response, Shinhan Card, in collaboration with Shinhan Bank, has launched the 'Shinhan SOL TRAVEL Check Card,' providing total services related to overseas travel. As a latecomer among overseas travel card products, the 'Shinhan SOL TRAVEL Check Card' aims to establish itself as an essential item for overseas travel by offering unprecedented benefits and premium services not seen in existing overseas travel products.

    신한카드는 현재 최대 규모 고객과 최고 시장 점유율을 자랑하는 국내 대표 카드사입니다. 카드 업계 1위를 자리 잡고 있으며 고객의 라이프스타일에 딱 맞는 다양한 카드 상품을 출시하고 있습니다. 최근 코로나19 엔데믹 전환 이후 해외여행에 대한 수요가 증가하며, 여행 관련 소비가 증가하였습니다. 다양한 카드사들이 해외여행 관련된 상품들을 앞다퉈 출시하며 다양한 프로모션을 진행하고 있습니다. 이에 맞서 신한카드는 신한은행과 손을 잡고 해외여행 관련 토탈 서비스를 제공하는 ‘신한 쏠트래블 체크카드’를 출시하였습니다. 해외여행 카드 상품 중 후발 주자인 ‘신한 쏠트래블 체크카드’는 기존 해외여행 상품에서 볼 수 없었던 파격적인 혜택과 프리미엄 서비스를 고객들에게 제공하며 해외여행 필수 준비물로 자리매김하고자 합니다.

  • THE OBJECTIVE

    목적

    The current designs of overseas travel-related cards in the card market mainly feature materials that intuitively depict images of travel such as airports, airplanes, tickets, and passports. Most travel-related card products had difficulty differentiating themselves as they had similar designs. Shinhan Card aims to offer more than just a simple travel card but a card that presents values beyond that and provides customers with a special travel experience. Through the development of a key visual unique to the SOL TRAVEL Check Card, Shinhan Card seeks to enhance the identity of a travel card with attractive benefits and communicate flexibly with customers through trendy sensibility.

    현재 카드 시장에서 살펴볼 수 있는 해외여행 관련 카드 디자인은 공항, 비행기, 티켓, 여권 등 여행의 이미지를 직관적으로 표현하는 소재를 활용한 디자인들이 주를 이루고 있었습니다. 대부분의 여행 관련 카드 상품들은 유사한 디자인으로 차별화되기에 어려웠습니다. 신한카드는 단순한 여행 카드가 아닌 그 이상의 가치를 제시하고 특별한 여행 경험을 보여주는 카드로서 해외 사용과 관련해 고객들의 해외여행 필수품으로 자리매김하고자 합니다. 신한카드는 쏠트래블 체크카드만의 키비주얼 개발을 통해 매력적인 혜택을 지닌 여행 카드의 정체성을 강화하며 트렌디한 감성으로 고객과 유연하게 커뮤니케이션할 수 있는 디자인 시스템이 필요하였습니다. YNL Design은 프로젝트 전반에 걸쳐 신한카드 쏠트래블 체크카드가 추구하는 브랜드 가치를 명확하게 전달하며 스토리텔링이 담긴 유니크한 신한카드 쏠트래블 체크카드 키비주얼 디자인 시스템을 구축하였습니다.

  • THE SOLUTION

    해결방안

    YNL Design aimed to establish the ShinhanCard Sol Travel Check Card as a brand that provides excitement and unique travel experiences under the concept of ‘the joy of travel’, infusing ShinhanCard’s own storytelling into a witty and enjoyable design system. Developing a visual identity system imbued with the unique sensibility of the Shinhan Sol Travel Check Card, with the design concept of ‘Capture the Moments of Travel’, capturing the excitement of travel moments. Utilizing images that evoke memories and emotions of travel to represent the ability to reminisce about travel through ShinhanCard Sol Travel. Additionally, incorporating hand-drawn lettering in an analog style to evoke the feeling of recording memories during travel. The hand-drawn lettering evoking memories of travel stimulates the desire for travel, conveying the image of a special card that travels together with Sol Travel anywhere. ShinhanCard’s Sol Travel focuses on a card design that showcases excitement and joyful emotions towards travel, appealing to the MZ generation with its emotional design.

    YNL Design은 ‘the joy of travel’로 여행에 대한 설렘과 특별한 여행 경험을 제공하는 브랜드로 신한카드 쏠트래블 체크카드를 정의하며 신한카드만의 스토리텔링을 담아 위트있고 재미가 느껴지는 디자인 시스템을 구축하고자 하였습니다. ‘Capture the Moments of Travel’ 설레는 여행의 순간을 기록하다라는 디자인 컨셉으로 신한 쏠트래블 체크카드’만의 감성적인 무드가 느껴지는 키비주얼 아이덴티티 시스템을 개발하였습니다. 여행에 대한 추억과 감성을 불러일으키는 이미지를 활용하여 신한카드 쏠트래블을 통해 여행에 대해 추억할 수 있는 모습을 나타냈습니다. 또한 아날로그한 감성을 자극하는 핸드드로잉 형식의 레터링 문구를 더하여 마치 여행 중 추억을 기록하는 듯한 모습을 연상시켰습니다. 여행의 추억을 떠올리는 핸드드로잉 형식의 레터링 문구들은 여행에 대한 욕구를 자극시키며 쏠트래블과 어디에서든지 여행을 함께하는 특별한 카드의 이미지를 전달합니다. 신한카드의 쏠트래블은 여행에 대한 설렘과 즐거운 감성을 보여주는 카드 디자인에 집중하여 MZ 세대들에게 매력적이며 감성적인 디자인으로 다가가고자 합니다.
