The Ambassador Seoul A Pullman Hotel The Lounge & Bar / The Kings Signage

    Ambassador Seoul – A Pullman Hotel, located in the heart of Seoul, is the first hotel managed by a private company in Korea. It is a luxury hotel that provides customers with the best lodging experience and elegant services based on the historical heritage that has been maintained since 1955. Ambassador Seoul – A Pullman Hotel underwent rebranding and interior and exterior renewals throughout the hotel based on its unique heritage to provide a more memorable experience to customers. YNL Design participated in developing the brand identity for the entire F&B area within the hotel. We assisted in developing the brand signage design for THE LOUNGE & BAR in the hotel’s lobby area that matches the F&B brand design and THE KINGS, a hotel’s buffet.

    서울의 중심에 위치한 앰배서더 서울 풀만 호텔은 국내 첫 민영 호텔로써 1955년부터 현재까지 지켜온 유서 깊은 헤리티지를 토대로 고객에게 최상의 투숙 경험과 품격있는 서비스를 선사하는 럭셔리 호텔입니다. 앰배서더 서울 풀만 호텔은 고객에게 더욱 특별한 경험을 선사하고자 고유한 헤리티지를 기반으로 호텔 전반의 리브랜딩과 내외부 리뉴얼을 진행하였으며 YNL Design은 호텔 안의 F&B 전체 영역에 대한 브랜드 아이덴티티 개발에 참여했습니다. F&B 브랜드 디자인과 어울리는 호텔 로비 영역의 THE 'LOUNGE & BAR'와 호텔 뷔페인 'THE KINGS'의 브랜드 사이니지 디자인을 개발을 도왔습니다.

  • THE OBJECTIVE

    목적

    The two brands, 'The Lounge & Bar' and 'The Kings,' are located on the first floor of the Ambassador Seoul – A Pullman Hotel, adjacent to each other. It was difficult to recognize the space of each brand, and the arrangement and role of signages were critical. YNL design proposed a signage design, specification, and system suitable for the premium mood of the hotel while helping customers perceive the two brand experiences in their respective spaces.

    앰배서더 서울 풀만 호텔에 1층에 위치한 ‘더 라운지 앤 바’와 ‘더 킹스’ 두개의 브랜드는 서로 공간이 붙어 있어 각 브랜드가 어떤 공간인지 인지하기 어려운 공간 배치로 사이니지 배치와 역할이 중요한 상황이었습니다. YNL Design은 두가지 상업공간을 고객들이 각각의 공간으로 인지하며 호텔의 프리미엄한 무드와 어울리는 사이지니 디자인, 사양제안, 체계를 제안하는 것을 목표로 프로젝트를 진행하였습니다.

  • THE SOLUTION

    해결방안

    For 'THE LOUNGE & BAR,' we used the characteristics of the bar to designate a bronze hairline hanging signage attached to the ceiling as the main signage. Then, we designed the sub-signage with a bronze hairline SCSI signage on the right wall to create the hotel's luxurious atmosphere. We determined sizes and layouts that customers would immediately recognize. We created an elegant atmosphere by applying the camel color that matches the luxurious mood of ‘THE LOUNGE & BAR’ to the menu board. ‘THE KINGS’ is a premium live buffet where tradition and sensibility coexist. We intensified its luxurious atmosphere by designing its signage with an elegant gold logotype with SCSI on top of the hairline bronze plate. We placed ‘THE KINGS’ signage far from the ‘The Lounge and Bar’ space so that customers could immediately distinguish the two brands.

    ‘THE LOUNGE & BAR’는 바의 특성을 살려 천장에 부착되는 브론즈 헤어라인 행잉 사이니지를 메인으로 지정하고 서브는 우측 벽면에 브론즈 헤어라인 재질의 스카시 사이니지로 디자인하여 호텔의 고급스러운 무드와 함께 고객들이 바로 인지할 수 있는 사양과 배치를 지정하였습니다. 럭셔리한 더 라운지 앤 바 무드와 어울리는 카멜 컬러를 지정하여 메뉴판에 적용함으로써 고급스러운 무드를 연출하였습니다. 전통과 감성이 공존하는 프리미엄 라이브 뷔페 ‘THE KINGS’의 사이니지는 헤어라인 브론즈 플레이트 위에 럭셔리한 골드 재질의 로고타입을 스카시로 디자인하여 한층 더 고급스러운 분위기를 더욱 강화하였습니다. ‘더 라운지 앤 바’ 공간과는 거리가 있는 곳에 ‘더 킹스’ 사이니지를 배치하여 2개의 브랜드를 고객들이 바로 구분할 수 있게 체계를 잡았습니다.
